Online Schools???

Hey, this is for all the adults out there. Have you been wanting to go back to school? I have been going for two years now and about to receive my assosiates degree in multimedia and visual communications. My bachelor year is just around the corner. I know that alot of people are in the same predicument as me, I am 32 years old and have to work full time to make ends meat. I want to let every one know that an education is a must in todays world. I chose the University of Phoenix over many schools for the curiculum that they offer. I was told once that two years is going to go by any way so you might as well get an education on the way. That is what I did, I know that expereince is key, but with out an education it is hard to get your foot in the door. If you are interested or have any questions blog back or email me at graham_joshua1@hotmail.com......

Multimedia...

I have had the pleasure of helping out friends and family with problems that they seem to have with the use of different types of programs out there for web site design. There are so many on the market to use nowadays, which is the best? I will tell you what I use and what I use it for, I really love the now Adobe products; Dreamweaver, Photoshop CS3 and CS4, as well as the Flash. These three really work well together and incorporate graphics just by exporting them to each other with no hasel. Dreamweaver is a great program to do what I call point and click style web sites. Now with bigger jobs that deals with some programming I like to use Visual Studios. This is a very nice program to do websites as well as functinal programs in. It allows easy access to Database systems for ease of saving information about well what ever your site is about...
Take care.

The DDR Family

What is DDR, DDR stands for double data rate which is a signaling method that allows higher clocking speeds. The first set was of course the DDR then the DDR2, and now we have the DDR3. The only difference is the speed of the memory. The motherboard is now equipped to handle memory in a dual channel. This means more memory and faster access to that memory for the computer to use. The higher or faster the chip, the more expensive it gets. Honestly right now for the money DDR2 would be the cheapest rout and with little to no difference from the DDR3. For those that still want to know what memory is, it is also called RAM. Random Access Memory, and is used by the computer to store programs that are being used by the computer so it can be access quickly.

MotherBoards (MoBos)

I was currently reading about motherboards that can handle DDR2 or DDR3 memory, but not both. The motherboard can only handle one type, with this being said I was curious about why a MoBos that suported DDR2 memory could handle a Grphics card with DDR3 memory. I recently found out that the graphics card actually suports its self like a self contained mini computer. This will allow for buying cheaper memory and still go for a faster graphics card.

Let's talk tech!!!

I have always been interested in computers and all that it pertains. I have gone to college for computer repair and maintenance and I am currently going back to school for IT in multimedia and visual communications. I know that their is a lot of questions as well as unanswered questions out there. I am going to start blogging information that deals with Windows and PC related topics. If there are any questions you would like to know please ask. I am going to try to keep the tech talk related to a low tech audience.

Happy New Year

It is hard to believe that 2008 has
arrived so quickly. Another year has passed and we set and wait for another. We try and work so hard to make something of our selves that we sometimes forget that we are what we do. What we are doing usually defines us, by ourselves or by others. Remember to slow down and enjoy life before we wake up and it is too late. There is no turning back the clock, but maybe we can slow it down. Take an hour out of the day and go down the path less traveled. Enjoy this new year and all that it has to offer, and remember to take time for yourself and others in your life.

Eerie...

New York 07
I recently took a trip to New York with my girlfriend and her family, where we photographed every part of New York. This is one in particular that I made with my camera, do you see what I do? Is that three glowing figures walking across the street, or an optical effect casting from something?... Let me know what you think...
